HRP, Horse radish peroxidase. The carbohydrate is bound via a neutral spacer molecule (ca 10 A length) which is attached via a stable linkage to the protein. The materials are supplied in freeze-dried form.
In general, HRP-neoglycoconjugates are ideal for increasing the sensitivity in analytical applications, such as determination by ELISA of carbohydrate binding proteins, or for the determination of the corresponding free carbohydrate in a sample, employing e.g. a competitive assay format.
